About Moonlit Goddess Musings

Hands surrounding a swirling multicolored energy field.

A Journey of Witchcraft, Intuition, and Coming Home to Myself

For more than 30 years, I have walked the path of the witch.

And yet, if you had asked me years ago what that meant, I probably would have given you an answer that had very little to do with the woman I am today.

I thought being a witch was about learning. Learning herbs and rituals, the Sabbats and the moon cycles, tarot and symbolism, magic and mythology. It was about discovering traditions, finding my spiritual language, and slowly building a practice that felt like my own.

And it was all of those things.

But over the years, I discovered that witchcraft is also about something much quieter.

It is about learning to listen.

And perhaps even more importantly, learning to trust what you hear.

Learning to Trust the Knowing

One of the greatest lessons of my spiritual journey has been learning to trust my intuition.

Not just when something feels dangerous. Not just when the little voice inside says, Don’t go there.

I’m talking about those moments when you simply know something.

You can’t explain how you know it. There is no logical trail that leads you there. You can’t necessarily point to evidence or explain your reasoning.

You just know.

For years, I struggled with that. I would question myself. I would second-guess what I felt. I would look for a rational explanation because admitting that I simply knew something felt embarrassing, even a little silly. No one would listen to something I just knew.

Who was I to trust a feeling that I couldn’t explain?

So I learned to dismiss it. Or at least, I tried.

But intuition has a funny way of continuing to speak, even when we aren’t listening.

Over time, I began to recognize the difference between fear, wishful thinking, anxiety, and that quiet, unmistakable voice that comes from somewhere deeper.

The voice that doesn’t shout.

It simply says, You already know.

I have come to think of that voice as one of the ways my higher self speaks to me. And learning to trust it has been one of the most profound parts of my journey.

The High Priestess

There is a tarot card that has followed me throughout that journey: The High Priestess.

I have received her in reading after reading, sometimes at moments when I wasn’t particularly looking for her message. But she kept appearing. Again and again.

At first, I thought of her simply as another tarot card. Beautiful. Mysterious. Powerful.

But eventually, I began to understand why she kept finding me.

The High Priestess is the keeper of what is hidden. She sits at the threshold between the seen and unseen, the conscious and unconscious, the knowledge we can explain and the knowledge we simply carry within us.

She doesn’t demand proof.

She doesn’t need to convince anyone.

She knows.

And perhaps that is why her presence in my readings has become so meaningful to me.

For years, I was being asked to do exactly what she represents:

Go inward.
Listen deeply.
Trust your intuition.
Honor what you know.

The High Priestess became less like a card I was pulling and more like a mirror being held up to me. A reminder that wisdom doesn’t always arrive as an explanation.

Sometimes it arrives as a feeling. A whisper. A dream. A sudden knowing.

A quiet yes or no that comes from somewhere beneath the noise.

And sometimes the most difficult part isn’t receiving the message. It’s trusting yourself enough to listen to it.

Why Moonlit Goddess Musings?

Moonlit Goddess Musings grew from that journey.

It is a place for exploring the many layers of a magical life: modern paganism, witchcraft, ritual, tarot, mythology, the cycles of the moon and seasons, spirituality, healing, intuition, and the beautiful mysteries that exist between what we can see and what we can only feel.

But more than anything, it is a place for exploration without judgment.

You don’t have to have all the answers.

You don’t have to fit neatly into a particular tradition. You don’t have to call yourself a witch—or know exactly what you believe—to be curious about the unseen. And you certainly don’t have to silence the part of yourself that says, I just know.

After 30 years on this path, I don’t believe that being a witch means having everything figured out. If anything, I’ve discovered the opposite. The longer I walk this path, the more comfortable I become with mystery.

With questions.

With intuition.

With listening.

With allowing myself to say, I don’t know how I know. I just know.

And I’m no longer embarrassed by that.

I’m learning to trust it.

Come Sit Beneath the Moon

Moonlit Goddess Musings is an invitation to explore your own path.

To learn, question, experiment, reflect, and perhaps discover pieces of yourself that have been quietly waiting to be heard. Because your spiritual path doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

And sometimes, the wisdom you’re searching for isn’t somewhere outside of you.

Sometimes, it’s been whispering inside you all along.

You simply have to become quiet enough to hear it.

Welcome to Moonlit Goddess Musings.

I’m so glad you’re here.

The moon is listening. And perhaps, somewhere within you, the High Priestess is waiting for you to trust what you already know.
